The Greyface Dartmoor Premier Sale Breed Record

The 93rd Annual Show and Sale of Greyface Dartmoor Sheep held on Saturday 20th August 2016 at Exeter Livestock Market saw a new breed record set with a Cardwell ram selling to 1750 guineas, bred by R T Alford & J A Rogers (flock number 135) selling to Mr & Mrs Darlington, Cheshire (flock number 1126). With another top price of 1700 guineas for a Rowan ram bred by Mr & Mrs Hampstead (Flock number 555) selling to Mrs James, Somerset (flock number 795).

The Association


The Greyface Dartmoor Sheep Breeders Association has been safeguarding the pure bred Greyface Dartmoor sheep since 1909. The current national flock stands at 3,000 registered breeding ewes. As an association we are here to help our members wherever we can.
